What is Lithium Battery Foil
Aluminum foil used inside lithium batteries as a positive current collector. It is a key component of battery cells, located inside the battery and wound or stacked in the battery cell.
Function of Lithium Battery Foil
- Conductivity: Collects current generated by positive active materials (lithium cobalt oxide, lithium iron phosphate, ternary materials) and conducts it to the battery tab
- Support: Provides mechanical support as a substrate for positive active material coating
- Material: Typically single-layer plain foil made of pure aluminum or specific aluminum alloys
