Product Description

 

Cable shielding materials are used to wrap cables, ensuring the life and functionality of the cable and preventing signal degradation. AL/PET/PVC Single-Sided Aluminum Polyester Laminate is a composite material that is commonly used as a cable shielding solution. The material combines AL, PET, and PVC to provide excellent EMI and environmental protection.
AL/PET/PVC consists of three different layers:
 
  • Aluminum: The outermost layer provides a strong electromagnetic interference (EMI) barrier and ensures the integrity of the signal within the cable. Aluminum was chosen for its light weight, ductility, and excellent conductivity.
  • Polyester: The middle layer acts as an insulating material, which helps increase the durability and flexibility of the shielding layer. PET is known for its high tensile strength and abrasion resistance, making it an ideal component for flexible cable construction.
  • Polyvinyl Chloride: The innermost layer acts as a protective jacket, ensuring that the aluminum and polyester layers remain intact and function for a long time. PVC provides increased resistance to environmental factors such as humidity, temperature fluctuations, and abrasion.
