ASTM B209 5083 Aluminum Plate for Shipbuilding
This 5083 aluminum plate is manufactured to ASTM B209 standard and ISO 9001 certified, delivering reliable marine grade performance for ship hulls, decks and boat building structures.
Thickness Range & Custom Size
Available from 0.2mm aluminum sheet to 6.0mm aluminum plate, covering the full 0.2mm - 6.0mm thickness range. Width up to 1500mm and length customized per customer requirements. All plates are custom cut to size and custom size aluminum plate orders are welcomed with precise cutting tolerance.
Temper Options
Available in a full range of aluminum temper conditions: O temper for maximum formability, H14, H18, H24 and H112 strain-hardened tempers for balanced strength and workability, plus H116 marine grade temper for optimal corrosion resistance in shipbuilding. Choose the right temper for your forming, welding and strength requirements.
Surface Finishes
Choose from mirror finish aluminum sheet, reflective aluminum plate for decorative marine interiors, brushed aluminum sheet and hairline finish aluminum plate for anti-glare and aesthetic applications.
Applications
The 5083 marine grade aluminum plate is widely used in shipbuilding and marine engineering, including ship hull plates, decks, bulkheads, superstructures and hatch covers for cargo ships, fishing vessels and yachts. It is also ideal for offshore platforms, marine equipment, pressure vessels, LNG tanker structures, transport vehicles, metro flooring, storage tanks, heat exchangers and chemical processing equipment.
